Our BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) Combatives Program is a program for anyone. In this program, you will learn dozens of core techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a fun, safe and cooperative environment. Our main goal is Ground Self-Defense! Each one-hour lesson addresses several ground self-defense techniques. You can start the program at any time and participate in any class without previous experience and, since Self-Defense is our number one concern competitive sparring in this program is an option. This Program is aimed at perpetuating the techniques and principles of Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in their purest form – as a method of Self-Defense.
Although Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu consists of over 600 techniques, studies done by the Gracies of real fights conducted have shown that a few dozen techniques have been used more often and with greater success than all the other techniques combined. 
Mixed Martial Arts was born from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. BJJ has since moved largely towards a sports focus, primarily sport BJJ, and to a lesser extent MMA. Self-defense has fallen away as the primary purpose, as noted by Relson Gracie.

We at KMA teach a fundamental and functional style of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Combatives that is proven effective and that works for everyone.  We understand that not everyone can fit into the same mold since we all vary in body type, flexibility, personality, etc.
